Early Career Academic Grants 2015

To mark its Centenary, the ACU committed to awarding a total of 100 Early Career Academic Grants to staff at ACU member universities to cover the costs of travel to and attendance at relevant conferences or academic meetings in another Commonwealth country. The scheme is aimed at early career academics who have not yet had the opportunity to work, study, or travel outside their own country.
As a result of the first two rounds of awards, 57 awardees have been able to attend conferences in countries like Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Canada, Tanzania and the UK. The award holders receive a grant of up to GBP 2,000 affording them the opportunity to attend a conference or academic meeting abroad where they can exchange ideas and build strong connections with fellow academics from all around the world.
Applications for the third round opened on 5 December 2014 and will close on 22 February 2015.
